Bravo for Papi!
He's finally done after two long years! Xavi's birth marked the beginning - I went into labor the first day of orientation! So it wasn't an easy first year, but we survived and Daniel did such a great job balancing school and time spent with his son. Xavi had so much fun at graduation, he loved clapping after every speaker and dancing to the bagpipes.
Though at first he just stared...

Grandpa (or pampa as Xavi sometimes called him) really got into the spirit. Who really graduated here? And then there was dancing to the bagpipes.
While we waited...Xavi made some friends. He looked for a squirrel and then invited himself over to another family's picnicThis picture is from aunt Tsubasa's camera - acutally all of these are from her camera. I had a similar one on a previous post, but this one is better. I will post round two with pictures from my camera.

In new developments, I've had two reports from each child care provider that Xavier can open completely closed doors. I didn't believe it when I heard from one person, but now that it's been reported by each one of them I'm more inclined to believe it. Oh no! Does that mean we can't contain him in a room anymore? At least he still can't open the safety gate, though he does try and he knows in general what movement to make to get it open.

More Cars

Here's the start of the celebration, a bbq on Saturday with family. Even though it was a celebration for his dad, Xavi came away with some presents.
He got this car and it was a hit! He loved getting in and out and beeping. It seemed to be his favorite toy ever! Until he saw the box it came in.
This is uncle Peter
helping Xavier play with his new favorite toy.
Here is another picture with oma, uncle Gabi and aunt Tsubasa.

Vroom Vroom
New favorite pastime - pretending to drive the car. Heads straight out to the car these days, but then tries to get into the front seat. Eventually we get him in his own seat and he has his own steering wheel so he drives from the back seat (and beeps).

Here are more pictures of Xavi with Pricsilla.

The family, minus aunt Tsubasa - she took the picture. Which brings me to my next point. Why are her pictures so much nicer, crisper? Just noticed a huge smudge on my camera lens - like a fingerprint...could be a toddler fingerprint. This last picture was taken by Nate, thanks!
